Measuring Smokeless Tobacco Dependence among American Indian Adults |
University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center seeks American Indian adults who use smokeless tobacco (chew, dip, snuff, or snus) to find out why people use smokeless tobacco products and how to measure their tobacco dependence.
You are eligible to participate if you are American Indian/Native American adult, living in Oklahoma, currently use smokeless tobacco (chew, dip, snuff, or snus), use at least one can or pouch of smokeless tobacco per week for at least one year, and currently not use other tobacco products.
If you agree to particiapate, you will complete a telephone survey about your tobacco use and personal characteristics and collect a saliva sample for nicotine analysis (in your own home).
